Rebecca Jacques, Founder and President of Inspired Hospitality Recruiting, is recognized as an entrepreneurial leader and high level professional in the hospitality industry. For more than twenty years she has been driving new business opportunities and securing top-caliber talent for leading Fortune 500 clients as well as mid-size public and private companies.
Rebecca began working in the hospitality industry in 1990, first as a public affairs meeting planner for the government, then as an event coordinator for a destination management company, a catering sales manager and subsequently as a hotel food and beverage director.
In 1995, she joined the team at Ming Court, a 400-seat Asian-themed restaurant in the heart of the convention corridor in Orlando. As the catering sales manager, Rebecca helped the company build its off-site catering division to supplement an already successful group dining business.
In 1997, Rebecca joined the opening team of Wolfgang Puck Grand Café as Sales & Marketing Director. During her tenure the 22,000 sq. ft. restaurant became one of the top-grossing venues in the nation. Her sales department efforts accounted for 10% of the unit’s total annual sales. She went on to develop SOPs and sales tools that were used throughout the organization.
She was also responsible for partnering with the Walt Disney organization to jointly market Wolfgang’s two Walt Disney World resort venues, leading to worldwide recognition. Among her favorite memories of this period was her personal and professional time with celebrity Chef Wolfgang and his wife/business partner Barbara Lazaroff. Rebecca derived great pleasure in managing their appearances, community involvement, and acting as a goodwill ambassador on their behalf.
In 2001, Rebecca was featured in a Restaurants and Institutions “Extra Plates” article showcasing experts in selling group events for restaurants. After Wolfgang Puck sold his landmark venue in Orlando in 2003, she continued to launch and successfully develop the sales and marketing operations for several other landmark restaurants.
While building Inspired Hospitality Recruiting, Rebecca was a leading consultant with OpenDoor Resources, applying her extensive industry background and recruiting skills to help that company reach its target market.
Rebecca Jacques lives in Central Florida, with her husband, Ken, and their daughter, Abigail. She is an active volunteer at her daughter’s school and other organizations in her community.
